In the last couple of days the Portes du Soleil have released their lift opening dates for the forthcoming 2014/ 2015 winter season:
The full domain of the Portes du Soleil will be open from 20th December 2014 to the 19th April 2015
For those wishing to take advantage of early or late season snow (and prices), It has also been announced that the area will be partially open from the 12th to the 19th December, and from the 20th to 26th April 2015 inclusive. In practice, this means that the Morzine-Avoriaz ski area will be open from the 12th December all the way through to the 26th April - plenty of time for everyone to get  their winter sports fix...
